The end of No Polish Challenge

Hey all,
My No Polish Challenge ended on Thursday night, but I was so tired that I went to bed Thursday night without polishing my nails. Now it's Saturday, and they're still nekkid. I'm about to remedy that situation after i eat breakfast. My nails did grow a little bit in that week, due to the vitamins I take daily, but I had to file a few down because they were peeling pretty bad, but my job is very hand intensive, and I didn't have polish on them to give them some sort of protection. I think, now that the week is over, I'm going to paint my nails with China Glaze VII. I just purchased that, with a few other polishes, about 2 weeks ago, so I haven't worn it yet. I'll do a post on that later. Until next time, God Bless.

No Polish Challenge- Day 5

Hey all,
I am on day 5 of my No Polish Challenge. It is actually a lot harder than I thought it would be...I feel like a crackhead, I'm addicted to having my nails painted. I'm over here thinking to myself  'would it really matter if I ended it early?' Yes it would. I know my nails and cuticles need the break, and so I'm going to stick with it, but you can rest assured that friday night, after work, I will be sitting on my bed polishing my finger nails. I have the cutest idea for a design, although its rather springtime-ish, but I don't care. But I digress, Here is a pic of my nails today, though I don't see a difference. I can feel a difference in my skin and cuticles...Until next time, God Bless

Daily Polish Giveaway

Hey all!
I'm still doing my No Polish Challenge (2 more days..yay) but this post has nothing to do with that. I am a follower of a blog called Daily Polish (http://dailypolish.com) and she reached her 365 days of polish goal (a little while ago actually... =3) so she is having a giveaway for 3 lucky winners. The prizes are Ah-mazing, so go check it out and enter if you would like too. I definitely am...
Until next time God Bless

No Polish Challenge- Day 2

Hello all,
It is Day 2 of my No Polish Challenge. I have borrowed (without permission) my sister's hand cream. It's by Dead Sea Premier, and I used that yesterday, followed by my Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Creme. My hands felt so soft. My nails really haven't had a change in one day but I'll still post a pic anyway.
Not much of a change, if any, but who cares. Until next time, God Bless

No Polish Challenge- Day 1

Hello all!
I decided yesterday that I needed (rather my nails needed) a break from polish for a bit. I love painting my nails, and I change up the polish every other day, if not everyday. It has an effect on your nails. Especially since I use acetone based nail polish remover. (I'm too impatient to use non-acetone) So i will try and update my blog with the changes I feel in my nails, whether they get stronger or what-have-you.
Here is a starting off point picture
As you can see, they're slightly yellow and my cuticles look so raggedy. We will fix this.
Until tomorrow, God Bless.

Chameleon Polish Update

Hello all. Sorry I didn't get back quicker. I am going to go ahead and tell you about the Chameleon polish I swatched in my last post. I absolutely adored the color. I thought is was gorgeous. The application was a little bit of a PITA since it was a fast drying nail color. It also chipped in less than 24 hours. While I enjoyed the colors, I need my polish to last longer than that. Sorry if this is rambly, I took a benedryl because my allergies/sinuses are messing with me, and drowsiness is occurring... yay. Anyway, hopefully within the next 2 weeks or so, I should have some polishes coming in, but I'll explain that when the day comes. Until then, be safe and God Bless

NOTD-Chameleon Blue Sky

I may not have money to buy nail polishes, but when I do have a little bit of cash, you can best believe I am at the drugstore looking for great polishes for even better prices. Today was no exception. I went into RiteAid and picked up 4 Scherer Chameleon polishes. I'm only telling you about one today, because I want to see how long the wear is on these. They were $2.99 each. Todays is Blue Sky, which is an unbelievably gorgeous duochrome. It is blue and green and purple and is just stunning. I keep staring at my fingernails and watching the color shift. My camera isn't the greatest but it'll do.

Can you see the absolute beauty of this polish....*squeals* I'm in love. Another post with another Chameleon polish coming after the wear test. Til Next Time...God Bless!

NOTD

Hey guys! I did this nifty nail design on my nails using water marbling... I show you how to do it on my youtube video.

Second half of my Blog Sale

Hey guys! I have decided to sell 4of my Sigma Makeup Brushes. I have gotten many dupes that are just as good and so I really don't need 2 of each of them. The ones I'm selling are the SS194, SS187, S275, and the SS209. They are each $10, plus a shipping cost of $2. These brushes are amazing quality, and I love them so much, but classes are more important than having higher end makeup brushes. Same thing as before. Email me at k_kretchmer@yahoo.com if you see anything you like. =)

New as of 7/22- I need to come up with the last of my tuition, so I am willing to sell the last 4 brushes for $30 including shipping. Email me if you're interested. Thanks for looking.

BLOG SALE- (Price reduction on select items)

So I am having to pay for one of my classes come Fall semester...meaning I hafta have $484 by August 6th. To help with that, I am having a Blog Sale...I have never done of these before, so please be patient. I do have a Paypal account, so that helps. =) I have 1 single MAC eyeshadows (Swish ) 1 MAC quad (its a mineralize quad in Eccentricity), 5 L'Oreal HIP duos (Magnetic, Showy, Spirited, Gilded, Reckless) a MAC brow set (Girl Boy), and a MAC eyeliner pencil (Rave.) I am also selling a Plugged In 1 inch curling iron, a Plugged In 1 inch straightening iron (gets up to 392 degrees, so it's perfect for short thinner hair) and a mini Plugged In straightening iron. My email address where you can send a message requesting whatever item you would like is K_kretchmer@yahoo.com. Then I will email you back with my Paypal email address so you can pay. Once I recieve the payment, I will ship the items out.
Each MAC single eyeshadow is $7.50. All eyeshadows come without the boxes, but I guarantee authenticity. The MAC mineralize quad is $10, without box as well. The L'Oreal HIP duos are $3, unboxed. The MAC Brow Set is $7.50, without box. Lastly, the MAC eyeliner pencil is $8, without the box as well. This was, I believe, a limited edition eyeliner. It is a Pearlglide liner, so it is extremely creamy. I have not figured out how to attach multiple pictures to my blog, but I can email the picture to you, of whichever item you wish to see.
The curling iron is $4, the mini straightening iron is $10, and the regular straightening iron is $20. Shipping for each hair styling tool is $5.
I also am adding $1 for shipping for the cosmetics...I know thats silly, but I hafta pay for that, and I'll end up in the negatives if I don't.

New as of 7/22- I am willing to sell every last thing in this blog to anybody for $60 including shipping. This stuff needs to go ASAP. Tuition is due in 2 weeks, and I'm just a little short on my goal. So email if interested.

Update On My Life

It is once again 5am. I am just starting to get sleepy, but I figured I should update, since it's been a hot minute. I am now 23 years old. My birthday was this past Friday, so I have been 23 a whopping 3 days. LOL. I also am practically guaranteed a job at a local grocery store. Bloom fell through because my customer service manager from Food Lion (when I worked there) made me have a status that means I'm not able to be rehired, for whatever reason, and since Food Lion and Bloom are owned by the same overhead company (Delhaize) I was unable to be rehired. Kinda sucks, but whatever. Farm Fresh will be better I think, because its slightly pricier, so hopefully that means more money. I was unable to pay for summer classes this semester, and I still don't have a car, but that's ok. I am going to work extra hard at Farm Fresh, and save up everything (except for my rent) and I am still going to try to pick up shifts at Carrabba's so that I have less pressure on my Farm Fresh paychecks for rent. I am definitely going to school in the Fall. Once I'm in school, there will be no more rent (that's my mom's rules) so even if I'm paying for school every month (with the payment plan offered through my school) I will still have an extra $300 a month because I won't have to pay rent. I'm aiming to purchase a car by the end of August. *Crosses fingers* I need a set of wheels. Badly. But anyways, I hope ya'll are having a great night/morning, and until next time.... God Bless
XOXO

My Nail Color Of Choice

After having Avalanche, by China Glaze on my nails for a day, I changed it to Ruby Pumps (Also by CG) so I could wear it during my hostess shift on Saturday. I got soooo many compliments at work, by guests and fellow micos alike. Wore that for two days. Got bored with it though (I have extreme nail polish ADD) and so I changed it to Thataway, which, is also by CG. (Never would have guessed huh?) I love this color. It is a combination of coral and orange, which you would think wouldn't look good since I am a natural redhead, but it seems to be fine to me. Anyways, I'll probably change my nail polish again in a few days, so I'll be posting again then. Toodles and God Bless!

New Polish Choice

I showed my boyfriend my beautiful nail polish color, and he said that it was definitely going to be too bright for work, so I changed it to Avalanche by China Glaze. It's a pretty shimmery dark lilac color. I can't wait until summer classes start, because then I will no longer be scheduled at Carrabba's unless I pick up shifts. Then I can wear For Audrey. YAY!!!

My Obsession!

So I am still trying to buy a car. But that didn't stop me today when I went by Sally's Beauty Supply, and I saw they had all nail polishes Buy 2 Get 1 Free. OH YEA! So I proceeded to grab a basket and head straight for the China Glaze polishes. They are originally priced at $5.99 ($4.49 for Beauty Club Card Holders) and I had a 15% coupon for spending $25 last month. So I could pay $3.82 for 1 nail polish. I was able to buy 3 nail polishes for a little less than $7.75. I was in polish heaven. I ended up buying 15 nail polishes....FIFTEEN!! Granted, 3 of them were for my little sister, who had driven me to my doom. But still, am I on drugs or something....? No, I'm just slightly obsessed with my nails. But it's ok. Among the 15 nail polishes I purchased was a pretty light aquamarine, called For Audrey. ( See image...lol)

OMG...It is gorgeous! I also bought a base and a top coat (they were among the 15 I got today.) The one nail polish I went in there to get was Ruby Pumps.
It is even more gorgeous in person. The only thing is that I work in a restaurant and that is a no-no (having bright nail polish on) so For Audrey may be a bad idea too....lol..Oh well, can't stop the obsession. Anyway, I'm about to do a haul on the colors that are mine, but I'll mention the 3 that Sarah is keeping. Any colors you guys think I should get?

Late night/Early morning ramblings

Morning! It's 5 in the morning in VA... (we seem to have a pattern here huh?)..and once again I can't sleep. I'm getting sleepy finally, so I should be asleep in about an hour or so.
My brother came back from Iraq yesterday for his rest & relaxation. He's home until the 30th. Yay!
School is a very big possibility right now. I think I was able to talk my boyfriend into getting a loan for me, only after I give him $500 as collateral (more like a cushion). So car on May 8th! Maybe. Then tuition is due 5 days later. I'm planning on doing the Nelnet payment plan that is offered through our community college. That means I will have to pay $950 by the 13th, then about $320 for the 2 following months. Books are going to SUCK!!! That is coming directly out of my pocket too....yuck....
Wow, I got tired faster than I thought....I'm hitting the sheets. Until next time, God Bless

XOXO,
Kimberly

My life as I know it

Morning....
As it is currently 5am in VA, and I am still wide awake... My allergies are killing me. I have no voice to speak of, my eyes are watering like crazy, and I have the sniffles. Oh yay springtime! But anyways, enough complaining. I am without a car, and have been for about 2 and a half months. My last car, a red 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier coupe, got repo-ed on January 26th. Blah. I seem to be having the hardest time buying another car (not that it's any surprise to me that I am having such a hard time.) I think I will be going to an auto auction to purchase my next vehicle, but I need to have $2k at least saved up. Do I have anywhere near that amount...? Not so much. I am still required to pay rent, even though I live at home with the parents. Plus, whenever my sister takes me to work, I give her about $10 for gas, since I do work about 30 minutes away. Also, we recently had a casualty at my house. It was our Linksys router. So who had to shell out the $60 for the new one....*points to herself*...yup..me.
So, I have to pay for my classes this summer, but in order to be able to save up the money to pay for those classes, I need to get a car. So my goal is to have the car by May 1st. I think my boyfriend might help me get a small loan so I can go to the auto auction. *crosses fingers* I hope so at least.
Also, Map Communications finally got in contact with me about training, but alas, I have no vehicle, which means I can't work there yet....Grrr. So I'm trying for that grocery store again...especially since it's within biking distance, so less gas money for me to have to give people. And since it's getting nicer outside, it'll actually be fun for me. There's also a lot of stores and things by Bloom, so I can get another job for the week, and work Carrabba's on the weekends(I would work Bloom and ?? during the week, then Carrabba's Saturday and Sunday night.)
Oh my brain hurts...having allergies is very tiring.... I'm gonna try to sleep. Good night/morning all and God Bless!

Ramblings

It is currently 2am on the morning of January 16, 2010. I so need to go to bed. I have a double shift tomorrow (today?) after a 10am wine phase (its a meeting where we learn fun factoids about wines we sell*twirls fingers* yay) Long day tomorrow (today ? ) Hopefully I'll make money. I received my W2 from Carrabba's today, so I just need my w2 from Food Lion, and I can get my money!! *clap for money* Last year I got over $1000...I hope I'm close this year....that would be sweeeeeet!! That'll pay for a bit of school (that starts in March for the second 8 week session at TCC) Oh to be busy again...I want to get a second second job (yes you read that right) at Bloom (which is a grocery store owned by the same company that owns Food Lion) I already work at Carrabba's, and I have been hired at Map Communications, an answering service located in Southeastern VA, so now for Bloom... anyways, I really need to hit the hay, so I will update some more probably tomorrow. Until then, God Bless

XOXO

Getting To Know Me

Hey all...
My name is Kimberly. I am 22 years old and I live somewhere in VA. I have a beauty channel on Youtube under the username LiveLaughLove6487. I am very new to the Youtube beauty scene, but I do have another channel that is for my animals. I am a sophomore in college, although I am attending a community college in order to receive my Associates before transferring to a 4-year university. I have a rather large family, which consists of my mom and dad of course. Then I have an older sister and brother-in-law, then I have a younger brother and two younger sisters. My older sister just had a baby in September, so I am an aunt for the first time. I'm hoping that once I become a little more popular, my blogs will be a little more interesting, but we'll see. I work at an Italian restaurant called Carrabba's (yes, it is better than Olive Garden) and I have recently been hired at an answering service call center, though I have yet to begin training. I will soon be getting a third job, hopefully at a grocery store I used to work at. I have goals to achieve this year, such as getting an apartment with my boyfriend of almost 4 years (Feb 18th is our 4th anniversary) and in order to do so, I need to have a financial cushion to help with the move. But anyways, that is all for my introductions for this blog, perhaps next blog will be more diary-style, but who knows. Til next time... God Bless

XOXO
Kimberly
